Dr. Amy Ravindra is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal disorders. Dr. Ravindra completed her medical education and residency in orthopedic surgery at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, also serving as chief resident. She then completed her shoulder and elbow fellowship at the University of Washington.

Dr. Ravindra provides sports medicine for athletes and active people of all ages, including youth, student, recreational and professional athletes. She takes pride in restoring her patients’ mobility and returning them to activity, and takes time with each patient to educate them on their condition and empower them to make informed decisions on their treatment. Dr. Ravindra works as a team with each patient to personalize care for their specific needs and goals, and use the latest in injury prevention, non-operative care and minimally-invasive surgery, focusing on returning them to peak performance.
Researching New Treatments and Therapies
Dr. Ravindra has received numerous awards and honors, and in addition to providing patient care, has served as an instructor at Ohio State University and taken part in several national and international medical volunteer activities. She has published and presented her research on shoulder surgery at numerous national and regional meetings, and has a specialized interest in rotator cuff tears.
