Dr. Joel Pranckun is an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine. His particular areas of interest include adult and pediatric sports medicine, cartilage preservation and restoration and minimally-invasive surgery for the shoulder, hip, and knee and he has presented on these topics at a number of conferences and other forums.

Dr. Pranckun enjoys working with athletes and helping them optimize their bodies to achieve their maximum potential. He provides each of his patients with individualized care based on their unique needs and goals and he strives to make his patients feel comfortable during their visit. He considers patient education to be an important factor in improving health outcomes and will regularly attempt to use videos, models and more to explain complex conditions to his patients in an easy to understand manner.
