Rachel Eckelbarger is orthopedic nurse practitioner with a passion for patient-centered care, specializing in diagnosing and treating orthopedic conditions, particularly focusing on the shoulder and elbow. She brings years of experience in orthopedic nursing, including work in surgical, post-anesthesia care units, and performing joint and musculoskeletal injections.
Collaborating closely with the physicians, both in clinic settings and the operating room, her expertise extends to hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder surgery, fracture care, sports injury management, arthritis treatment, ordering and interpreting diagnostic imaging, and nerve compression. Rachel’s approach to patient care is rooted in holistic, empathetic practices. She believes in meeting patients where they are emotionally, providing tailored treatment plans, and ensuring they feel heard and supported throughout their journey to recovery.
Rachel was inspired to this profession after observing the compassionate healthcare professionals who cared for my father during a traumatic accident. Her decision to pursue a career in nursing and eventually become a nurse practitioner was driven by a desire to provide the same level of care and support to others in need.
