Dr. Amy Ravindra is a fellowship-trained, board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of orthopaedic injuries and musculoskeletal disorders, with specialized focus on the shoulder and elbow. Dr. Ravindra completed her medical education and residency in orthopedic surgery at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where she also served as chief resident. She then completed her shoulder and elbow fellowship at the University of Washington.
Dr. Ravindra lives in Atlanta with her husband, two young daughters, and golden doodle. She loves to maintain an active lifestyle - including tennis, running, weight lifting, snowboarding, backpacking, and scuba diving.
Dr. Ravindra provides care for active people of all ages. She takes pride in being able to alleviate pain and improve her patients' function and mobility, personalizing care for each patients' specific needs and goals. She understands the importance of taking time to educate her patients on their condition, empowering them to make informed decisions on their treatment. She uses the latest in injury prevention, non-operative care, and surgical treatments to help her patients return to an active lifestyle. She has special expertise in the treatment of shoulder arthritis, including anatomic and reverse shoulder replacement surgery, complex shoulder reconstruction, and revision shoulder surgeries.
Dr. Ravindra graduated magna cum laude from medical school and has received numerous awards and honors, including Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She has published her research on shoulder surgery in peer-reviewed journals, and has presented at several national and regional orthopaedic meetings.
