Dr. Diego F. Herrera is a board-certified physician in family medicine, osteopathic family medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment. Born and raised in Alpharetta, Georgia, Dr. Herrera was actually born at Northside Hospital Atlanta. A graduate of Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Herrera completed his residency in family medicine as chief resident at Floyd Medical Center, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at Northside Hospital.
Dr. Herrera’s training as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) in family medicine and sports medicine allows him to provide a wide scope of care for his patients by using a holistic approach to health. He is a primary care doctor who can provide care for all ages and is well-versed in diet, exercise, manual therapy with OMT and non-operative orthopedic procedures.
Dr. Herrera also serves as an assistant team physician for Georgia State University athletics, Georgia Gwinnett College athletics and Reinhardt University Football.
