Recognized Leader in Fitness and Strength Conditioning
Todd Townes is a fitness expert and strength conditioning coach who specializes in performance optimization and injury prevention at the Northside Hospital Sports Medicine Network. Todd received his undergraduate degree in exercise science with continued graduate studies in corporate health promotion from the University of Mississippi. He is a recognized leader in the corporate health management, and has served the Atlanta area since 1993.
Performance Expert for Professional Athletes
Todd holds advanced certifications in Performance Enhancement Training, Active Flexibility Training and Sports Specific Speed Training. He is extensively experienced in working with patients of all ages and skill levels, including professional athletes on the PGA Tour, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and collegiate athletes in all sports. A former collegiate golfer and golf instructor, he has interests and particular expertise in biomechanics, strength, conditioning and rehabilitation for golfers. His unique understanding of the golf swing and functional training techniques to enhance individual performance has made him one of the top strength and conditioning coaches for golf in the country.
Leading the Way in Sports Performance
Todd was named one of “America’s Top Trainers” by Men’s Journal Magazine, is a Sharecare Fitness Expert and member of the Nike SPARQ Training Network, serving on Training Advisory Board to develop Nike Golf 360 Performance Programs. He is the co-founder and athletic director of FusionATL, a performance and sports medicine clinic in Buckhead, and is the founder and co-chairman of the Choicepoint Windward Challenge, a 5K road race that has raised over $500,000 to benefit missing and exploited children.
